Are you a Construction Project Manager capable of delivering new build 'Senior Living/Aged Care' projects up to $40m in value in Sydney?

You new company

  • The business have a well earned reputation for delivering high quality aged care projects and through their client-focused attitude, and have build up a strong pipeline of repeat customers in the senior living sector
  • This company has been established over 15 years, and has around 70 staff in their Sydney office. They offer tailored service to their clients and have a professional and agile culture
  • With major focus in sourcing the best talent for the business, we are looking to appoint a detail focused and commercially astute Project Manager to their team, that has previous experience in the aged care sector specifically
  • The company also specialise in new build Industrial/Warehouse projects, however they have a strong pipeline of future work in 2021/2022 in aged care, and therefore this is their current focus.

Your new role

  • Involved early on in the delivery process, you will be responsible for client interaction whilst working closely with your team to meet the clients expectations
  • One of the most significant challenges you will face is accommodating rapid technological advances, strict regulations, and meeting changing resident needs. Recent initiatives have the ultimate goal of creating better-equipped care environments for residents and staff and you must be able to communicate these clearly with clients and stakeholders
  • Create and manage construction programs using MS Projects
  • Manage a team and coordinate works with a Contract Administrator and Site Managers on site, to ensure timely project delivery and a quality product is produced
  • Responsible for monitoring project financials - budget and cost forecasting and management.

What you'll need

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager
  • Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
  • Experience as a Project Manager working on projects $20m+, preferably in the 'Senior Living' Sector
  • Superior ability to plan, manage and deliver projects to a high standard
  • Strong communication skills and ability build rapport quickly
  • Experience using Jobpac would be advantageous
  • Transferable negotiation and decision-making abilities & techniques.
