Your new role
Reporting to the General Manager People and Organisational Development, this position is responsible for providing effective leadership to the team, including being responsible for the outputs of both the HR Operations Team and Payroll for over 950 employees.
Working alongside the Finance and Business Systems areas, your role will see you working closely with other managers across HR, WHS and Quality and Risk to implement the strategic direction of the business unit. You will be responsible for

  • Providing outstanding leadership to the payroll and HR operations team and driving effective change management
  • End to end process mapping of current payroll and HR Operations processes.
  • Supporting the delivery, process and controls of the new payroll system
  • Ensure payroll, HR, and other staff are trained in use of payroll functionalities
  • Identify and facilitate the upgrade of the HR and payroll systems
  • Oversee the end to end payroll processing
  • Leading the implementation of new HR systems that support the strategic direction of the organisation
  • Identifying and implementing processes to improve efficiencies across HR and Payroll

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this position you will be an outstanding leader who can drive organisational change and work collaboratively delivering strategic projects. You will have proven experience in a similar position. This will include experience in supporting the implementation of payroll and HR operation systems, knowledge of both HR & payroll including taxation, superannuation and award interpretations. You will have excellent time management skills, have strong computer skills (including Microsoft excel), excellent interpersonal skills, with proven experience in people management.
You will also need to hold or be willing to undertake a Schedule 1 National Police Check, completed in the last 12 months, a current full Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) and a current Driver’s License.
