About the Department

Prague House is a 45 bed aged care residential facility that cares for the needs of people who have a mental health diagnosis, a substance misuse history or an acquired brain injury, often on a background of homelessness.

About the Role

You will be required to work in a team to care for the health and personal care needs of our residents. In this role you will be required to provide support both physically and emotionally to our residents. You will also be required to do laundry, meal delivery, bed making and general housekeeping.

Classifications for this position will range from HCW Grade 1 - Grade 3 PW11 - WP11 ($49431 - $53,586 per annum pro rata)

Duties

  • Respect and promote dignity, privacy and confidentiality of each resident
  • Systematically plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Attend to the care of the residents to ensure the care given is as written in the care plan
  • Showering
  • Continence support
  • Escorting to medical and mental health appointments
  • Working as part of a team for best possible outcomes


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Cert 3 or higher in Aged Care
  • Be working towards your bachelor in nursing or degree
  • Two years experience in aged care
  • Drivers license advantageous
