About the Role

Currently, we are seeking highly enthusiastic and experienced support workers to assist with supporting participants. The aim is to ensure that our recipients can participate meaningfully in their family and community life.

What we need from you:

  • Availability for shifts
  • A strong desire to provide quality client service and the ability to make that connection so that you are welcomed you into their home;
  • Flexibility and ability to be adaptive;
  • Ability to provide assistance with housework including preparation of meals;
  • Highly professional and able to act in a compassionate, non-judgmental manner;
  • Current police check less than 3 months old or willingness to undertake one with annecto;
  • Current First Aid (with 6 months to run) and CPR Qualifications (with 3 months to run) or willingness to complete prior to employment;
  • Current driver's license and own transport vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

What would be great to have:

  • Similar experience in a similar organisation.
  • A relevant qualification.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Essential: Do you have a Current First Aid Certificate with at least 6 months left on it and if not are you willing to obtain one?
Essential: Do you have a Current CPR Certificate with at least 3 months left on it and if not are you willing to obtain one?
Essential: Do you have a current and valid Australian Drivers License?
Essential: Do you have a registered car with insurance?
Essential: Are you willing to travel up to 30 minutes for a shift?
Essential: Are you willing to take/accept short shifts?
Essential: Do you have a Certificate III or above in Individual Support, Aged Care, HACC, Disability or a similar qualification?
Essential: Are you willing to provide personal care (showering) to the people we support? Do you have experience providing personal care to people with a disability and/or older people?
Essential: Is it okay if it takes a few months to increase your hours? Are you willing to do 1-2 hour shifts or a series of short shifts?
Desirable: Do you speak any languages other than English
