Position Summary:
Manage and oversee the Informatics team, and the policies and procedures governing the day to day responsibilities / activities in the team. Includes data ingestion, manual entry and quality processes.

Identify and respond to strategic issues impacting data quality and data management related to COVID-19 systems including Salesforce (and related platforms and tools).

Address data policy and procedure issues and improve data or process efficiencies.

Responsibilities:
Reporting into the Director: Informatics & Data Quality.
Direct, oversee and support the Informatics team.
Oversee and monitor capability across the Informatics team in coordination with COVID-19 Business Support team (including rostering, forecasting and training).
Ensure relevant policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols for the Informatics team are maintained and developed.
Communicate data management advice to other Intelligence, Case Contact and Outbreak Management (ICCOM) functional leads as required.
Respond to requests from Director, Executive Director and the broader ICCOM leadership where appropriate.
Ensure Informatics staff have necessary system access.
  • Attend daily Stand-Up meetingsrelevant for performing duties and for remaining connected across the broader ICCOM teams.
Identify and manage daily requirements of the team as they evolve and delegate day-to-day management to Senior Data Managers.
Oversee the data streams(including Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR), Genesys, Border Permits etc.) and related processes, and identify issues and opportunities for improved efficiencies.
Work with the embedded Business Solutions team to create and update Salesforce data transformations related to various automated data streams.
Identify and respond to strategic issues impacting the management and storage of data in Salesforce and other sources like Data Model and Common Data Layer (CDL).
Develop and monitor workflows and reporting to support case and contact management work.
  • Help maintain the SOP(s) for cross team workflows. Ensure the wider ICCOM has visibility.
Support the maintenance of Salesforce functionality insofar as it relates to Informatics and communicate ongoing system upgrades.
Develop a COVID-19 business continuity plan for Informatics.
