Your Role

Come and join our team at Victoria Grange Aged Care facility where we are leading the industry in driving our award winning 'Better Together' model, raising the quality of living in aged care. At Victoria Grange we are proud of our culture; we are an embracing and supportive team, we welcome resident preferences and choice, we connect to engage our community of residents, families and care staff.

We are looking for a Food Services Assistant to join our friendly team on a casual basis, who will bring a strong commitment to customer service.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Food preparation and presentation.
Serving and cleaning up resident meals.
Providing an outstanding level of customer service.
Ensuring food safety.
Understanding dietary requirements with a positive impact on the wellbeing of our residents.

About You

We are seeking kind and self-motivated people who have a passion for working with the elderly. Having come from a similar role within Hospitality, Aged Care or Health Services, you will have;

Food Safety or Food Handling practices certificate.
Prior cooking or baking experience (desirable).
Ability to prepare salads and sandwiches.
Strong commitment to provide exceptional customer service.
Good team communication skills.
The ability to learn new skills.
Proven experience in a fast paced environment.
Flexible availablity over 7 days, morning shift: 6:00am-1:30pm and afternoon: 4:00pm-8:00pm.
