Casual on call roles
Available to cover rostered shift over night
Flexible to provide respite in our cottage and assist with on call casual support for our Activity Centre

These casual on call roles contributes to supporting client wellbeing and independence through providing services such as hygiene and safety (domestic assistance), personal care, respite, home maintenance, gardening, transport and social connection. Care extends into higher level care including intimate care, implementing health and wellbeing initiatives or regimes designed by Nurse or Allied Health Professionals and/or support of clients requiring specialist support because of disability or dementia.

The hours rostered for overnight/24 hour. Availability will be required Monday - Sunday as respite is available for clients 24/7.

Roster availability to cover the following:
Start shift - 9:00am-10:00pm
End shift - Handover to next staff member 9:00-9:15am

Skills and experience you will need to succeed

Ability to travel to all day centre sites including licence and reliable motor vehicle
Cert III in Home and Community Care (disabilities/Aged Care) or equivalent qualification
Medication Management and administration training and experience
Experience in provision of high-quality service provision for similar work in hospitals, facilities, or private homes, working with the elderly or disabled
Demonstrable positive approach to customers and provision of quality care
Availability to work across a variety of shifts including 24-hour respite and required activity centre hours.
Current First Aid + CPR and working with children/vulnerable people certificate or willing to obtain.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of customers
Confident in using different forms of technology such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Demonstrated understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of older people and proven customer service orientation
Experience working with people with dementia is essential
Current driver’s license (P1 or above)
Availability to work across a variety of shifts including 24-hour respite and required activity centre hours.
