The Opportunity

Reporting to the Community Channel Manager ANZ this is a critical role to assume total business management responsibility and achieve sales targets for assigned territory.

This territory will cover all Community accounts within VIC. Key customers include GP, aged care groups and medical and surgical wholesalers.

The Key Focus Areas of the Role


  • Achieve budgeted sales, market share and focus products within assigned territory
  • Maximize potential for territory through effective targeting and territory management
  • Monitor territory sales progression to targets and initiate corrective action where appropriate
  • Identify key targets to successfully expand sales of key Smith & Nephew brands
  • Provide exceptional service to existing customers whilst proactively canvassing for new opportunities
  • Provide in-service programmes, workshops and seminars where appropriate to customers
  • Understand and fully comply with CRM ways of working (and all CRM system requirements)


The Requirements of the Successful Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Science related disciplines
  • Proven sales experience within the healthcare industry is critical, medical devices is ideal
  • Experience handling wound care or related medical consumables portfolio is desirable
  • Proven success selling into the community channel
  • Strong selling skills and understanding of the selling process
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry in ANZ, working knowledge of wound care or related area.
  • Solid commercial acumen
  • Highly focused on exceeding customer expectations
  • Good planning and execution skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Superior presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
