About the role

This is a key leadership role that is accountable for effective, efficient and timely bed management strategies, patient flow and resource allocation . The role requires working with and supporting other managers in planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the hospital. The position will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, Clinical Services Coordinator & Clinical Managers in the organisation of high quality care delivery across the hospital.

After hours the Hospital Coordinator is responsible for overall hospital coordination and leadership including management of human, fiscal and clinical resources. The Hospital Coordinator will be expected to manage theatre booking enquiries out of hours and ensure compliance with the 'Scheduling and Booking of Theatre Lists' policy.

What you bring


Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years acute hospital experience
Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
An understanding of human resource management practices
Knowledge related to legislation and policy that governs nursing practice and contemporary nursing issues
An ability to act as an effective role model in the area of clinical practice.
Computer literacy


Post graduate qualifications in a business, management or clinical field
Previous experience in management and leadership roles
Previous experience working in a private hospital environment

Selection Criteria Essential: AHPRA Registration, holding a current practising certificate, and with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
Essential: Experience with indoctrinating the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS Standards)
Essential: Do you have demonstrated advanced interpersonal and organisational skills?
Desirable: Previous experience in Management and Leadership roles
