We are seeking a Registered Nurses to join our Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) team for an ongoing weekend position.

While on Tiwi Island, you will work 19.5 hours per week, 7:00am to 4:00pm shifts, Saturday and Sunday, and have a 2-hour hand over on Friday (upon arrival). With flights, accomodation and meals all prepared on-site and as part of your salary / package.

You will be transported over (by air) every Friday afternoon and return to Darwin (by air) every Sunday afternoon.

Previous experience in RACF is essential, the successful candidates will also have:

  • Availability to work 19.5 hours per week, Friday (afternoon), Saturday and Sunday
  • Ability to fly in every Friday afternoon and fly back to Darwin each Sunday afternoon.
  • Nursing registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Recent nursing/clinical experience in the last 5 years or evidence of a refresher course
  • Valid NT Working with Children Check – NT OCHRE Card
  • Abides by the Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses in Australia and the Code of Ethics for Nurses in Australia.
  • Team player with the ability to develop and maintain effective high level working relationships across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including employees and clients
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and achieve goals within set timeframes
  • Demonstrated highly developed organisational and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Commitment to the company’s philosophy of providing responsive, flexible and customer focused services
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Services they would be undertaking include: Wound Care, Intravenous antibiotics, Medication management, Incontinence management, Diabetes management & Complex wound care


The Registered Nurse provides the provision of skilled nursing services to clients in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The Registered Nurse demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, National Board standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care within our organisation

The Registered Nurse practises independently and interdependently, assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions and delegation of care to Enrolled Nurses and Support Workers within program, state/territory and our guidelines. The Registered Nurse provides evidence-based nursing care to people of all ages and cultural groups, including individuals, families and communities.

The role of the Registered Nurse includes promotion and maintenance of health and prevention of illness for individuals with physical or mental illness, disabilities and/or rehabilitation needs, as well as alleviation of pain and suffering at the end stage of life.

The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team so as to achieve goals and health outcomes for our clients.
