The Role
As a growing organisation Ascot Group has recently been increasing the scope of it's national footprint and a number of upcoming contracts in the Adelaide area has provided the opportunity for the creation of a new role in our maintenance division. This role will require someone with a background in Horticulture, previous experience in grounds maintenance, who understands the processes involved in maintaining assets and promoting cost saving initiatives.

What we are looking for
Ascot Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Officer with a Cert III in Horticulture to assist with numerous reactive and preventative maintenance tasks for a number of our clients, particularly in Education. The main requirements for the role are as follows:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a grounds maintenance role
  • Previous experience in the use of grounds related plant and equipment
  • Previous experience working in grounds and vegetation management activities and general landscaping
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Hard working can do attitude
  • A person who appreciates work, life balance (Monday to Friday with a rare Saturday)
  • A customer focused personality who understands the importance of meeting client expectations
  • Experience dealing with clients in Educational environments and an understanding of "live environment" expectations
The successful candidate must be able to complete work to a high standard; be honest, reliable and presentable. They must also be punctual as well as:
  • Hold a current SA Drivers Licence
  • Have a current Certificate III in Horticulture or similar
  • Have a clean police record
  • Have Australian residency
  • Have a trade vehicle and tools.
