About the Role

This is an exciting time for headspace and a great opportunity for you to be a part of a growing, dynamic and supportive team of professionals providing clinical mental health services to young people aged 12 to 25 years. This role is responsible for:

  • Provide counselling to clients accessing the headspace centre in Mt Gambier
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and risk assessments, develop action plans to mitigate risks, provide support and referral for treatment and support
  • Provide brief interventions to clients with mild to moderate mental health presentations
  • Facilitate and monitor the integration and coordination of care to clients

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in working with young people and their families.as well as:

  • qualifications in health, behaviour/social science, psychology, social work

  • excellent written and oral communication skills, strong and ethical customer approach
  • experience in assessing and working with young people at risk
  • knowledge of mental health and primary care health system in Australia

The Salary range will be dependent on experience and/or qualifications.
