The Principal Advisor Quantity Surveyor & Cost Planner is responsible for the development and implementation of effective project cost estimating, planning and reporting practice across VHBA diverse asset base and project portfolio; providing subject matter expertise and advice to project teams to support project estimation alignment to and compliance with relevant policies, obligations, practices and other internal/external requirements; designing and maintaining technical standards and supporting continuous improvement of VHBA's Project Management Framework (PMF); driving capability uplift and PMF adoption/compliance across all projects; participate in quality assuring of cost plan, value management and quantification of head contracts; and, lead the establishment of VHBA costing database for project benchmarking and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be qualified in quantity surveying or cost engineering with experience across the whole of project lifecycle, preferably within health and human services or social infrastructure.

Are you

Experienced in all areas of project cost estimation and quantitation, including development of cost plans, cashflows, bench marking exercise, risk and contingency calculations and value management?
Systems/process oriented and able to advise on best practice project bench marking, cost planning/management to support the delivery of complex programs of work?
Prepare and reporting of estimates for funding application
Someone with excellent attention to detail, who is thorough, accurate and able to build stakeholder confidence?
