Your Opportunity



BioGrid is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join the Project and Data Services team at BioGrid Australia. This is a Full Time Fixed Term position with the intention of renewal of contract at the end of the fixed term for a successful candidate. Your success in this role will be in your ability to:



  • Design, develop, test and maintain software applications and databases using modern software development methodologies.

  • Prepare relevant documentation including installation guides and kits for software applications being developed.

  • Control scope of the development and identify and facilitate resolution of deviations from the project plan in consultation with Data and Business teams.

  • Deploy and/or support the deployment of software applications at various hospital and client sites as required.

  • Assist with development and review of software development and business processes utilising JIRA, Confluence and written Policies and Procedures.


About You



  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent).

  • Experience in a health/biomedical science environment is highly regarded.

  • Experience in a range of software development technologies such as:

    • Object Oriented Programming: C#, C/C++, Java, Visual Basic;

    • Web Development Technologies: ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, Angular NHibernate, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery; Angular JS, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework



  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills (verbal and written).

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work efficiently and effectively.

  • Ability to work autonomously under minimal supervision, and in a team environment.

  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritising skills with ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities under pressure.

  • Excellent problem solving and problem management skills with a strong desire to 'do it right' the first time.

  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
