Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Community Care Workers - Drouin

Any Industry
Source: uWorkin

As a third generation Australian-owned and operated company, Colbrow Care has been providing excellence in nursing and care services since 1957.
We are committed to delivering excellence in personalised care solutions and services to Australian families, so they can live in the comfort of their own homes as independently as possible, for as long as possible.

As a specialist nursing, aged care, and (dis)Ability support provider, we support people who are ageing, people experiencing short, long-term, or life limiting illness and people living with a disability.

We are currently looking for compassionate, professional and reliable Registered Nurses, Endorsed Enrolled Nurses and Carers to join our team. If you are as passionate and committed as we are, you will be the perfect candidate to help support one of our loved clients located in Drouin, a charming town in the West Gippsland region, 106 kilometres east of Melbourne. You will be responsible for providing support with our client’s day to day living and for enriching her and her family’s lives through the contribution you make as a Colbrow Care employee.
Our client is 34 years of age with a high level of complex care needs including a ventilator plus tracheotomy, along with other medical and disability care requirements. This is a 24/7 ‘active’ 2:1 program and our client is completely reliant on her care team.

Successful candidates can choose from a mix of AM, PM and Night Duty shifts but must be able to perform/assist with

  • Peg feeding
  • Tracheotomy Care
  • All aspects of personal care.

Out client has many interests and keeps herself busy with cooking, she loves craft (making cards), enjoys building Lego, loves gardening & spending time outside, watching movies, and she enjoys books being read to her.

Our client has a companion dog so applicants MUST LOVE DOGS. In addition, and due to the client’s health issues, Non-Smokers are preferred. To gain a better understanding of our clients needs please refer to the link for her return to home story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FShM71Z3JQ

Full training and buddy shifts are provided to all staff joining the care program. Note in advance that, due to compliance requirements and the complexity of the client’s care, there are training modules that must be completed during our on-boarding program. Preference will be given to candidates who can do this quickly, and you will be rewarded for your effort and commitment via a range of incentives we currently offer:

  • Receive our $150 ‘Get on Board’ sign-on bonus for completing your paperwork accurately and in a timely manner*
  • Qualify for our $250 joining bonus for working 80 hours in your first 4 weeks with us*
  • Receive $100 for completing your competency courses before you start, and an additional $100 if you complete it within 7 days*
  • We may reimburse all your costs associated with your NDIS Screening check, Police Check, Working with children Check, First Aid and CPR qualifications after working for Colbrow for 3 months*
