An exciting secondment opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Educator. This position is being created to support New Graduate Nurses and other Registered Nurses as mentors.

About the role

Within the framework of the mission, vision, values, philosophy and policies of Little Company of Mary Health Care, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for providing clinical education and leadership to the nursing team within Calvary Mater Newcastle General Medicine Department. Clinical education and leadership will be targeted towards achieving operational and strategic goals, whilst ensuring the delivery of evidence based practice.

What you bring 

  • Registered Nurse Authorised to practice by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching and/or holder of relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in Acute General Medicine
