Your new team

We are looking for a motivated nurse who is ready to take the next step in their nursing career here at the Royal Melbourne. 6 South West is a 28 bed unit caring for Nephrology, DFU (Diabetic Foot Unit) and Endocrinology patients with a high turnover of both medical and surgical care in one setting. We provide a wide range of specialist care in renal replacement therapies such as haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and pre and post operative renal transplant care along with acute renal failure and CKD management.

It is an ideal position for a clinician keen to make a difference to patient care whilst incorporating our core values. The team includes a high number of nurses who have completed post-graduate qualifications and all the nurses are supported by a talented group of clinical nurse educators.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Ensure delivery of patient centered safe and effective care

  • Contribute to the development of an effective discharge plan and provides appropriate patient education and referral to appropriate community providers

  • Participate and cooperate in consultative process to improve the health and safety and reduce risk to the safety and well-being of staff
