JB Hi-Fi Solutions delivers a wide range of solutions and services including Managed Services, led by our practices, into our core industry verticals, which include Education, Government, Retail and Hospitality and Aged Care.

The Role

Due to continued growth in our business, we now seek to recruit 3 x Business Development Managers who have proven sales experience in the mid-market Enterprise space. Experience selling to local councils as well as State Government entities will be welcome.

This role will suit an individual with a keen interest in helping Customers grow their businesses, achieve greater efficiencies, reduce costs, manage their assets and improve communication through the procurement and deployment of the relevant technologies.

There is a strong local, and national, support infrastructure to assist in solution scoping, design, pricing and implementation via our Pre-Sales technical experts and Practice Managers across a variety of different technology and solution segments.

This role is part of a larger sales team reporting to the State Sales Manager and is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career.

Key responsibilities and measures include:

  • Planning, forecasting and budgeting in a timely manner and providing weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Developing and maintaining key account relationships and taking a leadership role in commercial negotiations with key customers.
  • Building a strong pipeline of opportunities with core focus on developing opportunities within our Practices.
  • Implementing the tactical sales / business plan in order to exceed sales/GP KPIs.
  • Promoting brand, product and services awareness via regular face-to-face customer contact and sales promotional activities and Trade shows.
  • Ensuring Salesforce is up to date and being used in line with the business’ expectations.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with new and existing clients to determine their existing and future business needs
  • Understand the client's objectives, buying criteria and decision-making process and forming long-term business partnerships – the role will be closely supported by technical pre-sales.
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process from start to finish including managing and maintaining your sales pipeline, ensuring all sales enquiries are followed through.
  • Present innovative business solutions to potential clients through direct communication i.e. face to face meetings, telephone calls and/or via email.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of products, in line with customer needs and SLA’s.

Skills/Experience that will make you successful include:

  • The ability to effectively manage ongoing business in existing account allocations as well as secure new business.
  • Commercial Sales Experience (3 – 5 years).
  • Analytical and planning skills to enable you to drive your own business.
  • The ability to orchestrate the needed internal resources to deliver the best business outcomes for your customers.
  • Knowledge and experience in selling End-User-Compute / mobile devices, AV Equipment, IT hardware and software, Networking and Data Centre infrastructure, software licensing.
  • A commitment to delivering innovative solutions that are tailored specifically to client’s business needs.
  • Exceptional listening, negotiating and presenting skills.
  • Drive and determination to continuously develop one's own skills and competencies to assist the continued/ongoing growth and success of JB Hi-Fi.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office skills and comfortable using Salesforce.
