  • Based in our Residential Aged Care facility in Trott Park
  • Ensure the care needs of our residents enhances and promotes their quality of life
Who are we looking for?

We are seeking Registered Nurses with experience in Aged Care to provide leadership and supervision to our dedicated Care Workers. You will be responsible for leading our team in the delivery of person-centred care, providing guidance and acting as a point of escalation for issues. With effective interpersonal skills and the ability to keep calm in high-pressure situations, you will provide quality individualised nursing care.

What can you expect to be doing?
  • Provide quality nursing care to our residents through assessment and care planning, ensuring care needs of our residents are met at the highest standard
  • Act as a role model to other staff, providing coaching and mentoring where required
  • Provide a service that meets the needs our residents and enhances their quality of life
  • Assist to coordinate and maintain a quality system and strive for continuous improvement
  • Maintain a strong resident focus and an empathetic and compassionate approach with residents and families
  • Lead from the front and delegate tasks appropriately amongst staff
  • Assist the Clinical Coordinator with audits, care plans, doctor rounds, new admissions and on the floor as required
What do you need to bring?
  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing or equivalent and current registration with AHPRA
  • Certificate of completion - SA Health’s Understanding COVID-19 for Aged Care Workers (free online training)
  • Current influenza vaccination and Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with residents, their families and your team
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation in line with nursing competency standards
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday
  • National Police Clearance (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people. 6 months or more remaining on clearance, please note NPC's are valid for 3 years)
  • Qualification in Restoration and Rehabilitation will be highly regarded
