SwanCare is growing and we are currently seeking a seasoned hospitality professional to join our dynamic team in a Supervisor role. The Commercial Hospitality Supervisor will work with the Manager Operations - Corporate Hospitality to ensure that SwanCare’s commercial hospitality outlets function and operate efficiently and effectively in line with both customer expectations and financial targets. As the Commercial Hospitality Supervisor, you will directly supervise all facets of SwanCare’s commercial hospitality operations across its restaurants/cafes, catering services, events and functions, and commercial laundry services. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Work closely with the Manager Operations-Corporate Hospitality and Head Chef/Chef to develop menus that deliver optimal financial outcomes and are dynamic and reflective of a broad range of palates.
Work hands on within the commercial hospitality roster to ensure adequate coverage including cover for breaks, leave, and periods of peak activity within the commercial outlets.
Work with the Manager Learning Development to ensure all Commercial Hospitality staff attain and maintain the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties.
Assist the Manager Operations-Corporate Hospitality with financial reporting including End of Month and Financial Year budgeting for all commercial hospitality outlets.
Ensures the Food Safety Program is adhered to across all commercial outlets.

Who are we looking for? :

You'll also have:
5+ years supervisory experience in a similar commercial hospitality environment.
Tertiary qualification in hospitality management or commercial cookery.
Working knowledge of Food Safety (HACCP) guidelines and regulations in relation to food preparation and quality food and beverage service practices.
Financial reporting experience including P&L analysis, budgeting, stock control, and food costings.
Working knowledge of IT systems - Microsoft suite of applications, Point of Sale systems, and human resource management software.
Roster management
Advanced written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated excellence in time management and organisational skills.
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
Demonstrated commitment to exceeding customer satisfaction.
Ability to perform under pressure.
Working knowledge of safe work practices & OSH regulations.
Flexibility with working hours including weekends and evenings.
Approved Manager Licence / RSA Certification (or ability and willingness to attain).
Working rights within Australia
National Police Clearance less than 6 months old
Current 2021 Influenza Immunisation
