The Aged and Disability Support Services Customer Reception Desk functions as a centralised point to respond to customer enquiries related to Aged Care services. The position involves telephone customer service, face to face enquiry contacts and general administration support to the unit. ADSS has a Regional Assessment Service and also delivers a wide range of services, including domestic assistance, personal and respite care, shopping assistance, food services, assisted transport and social support programs.

About The Role

The Customer Reception Officer operates as a first point of contact for telephone calls and also a face to face contact point for resident enquiries relating to the Aged Care service information. You will be required to disseminate the incoming telephone calls to the relevant service area and provide accurate messages to council officers in a timely manner. Administrative support is also required to compile customer service plan information packs.

Skills And Experience
  • Ability to manage the varying service demand of incoming telephone calls
  • Detailed listening skills to accurately understand and respond to client enquiries
  • Ability to provide a positive customer experience in a concise manner
  • Experience in working with a diverse community is an advantage
  • General IT proficiency to work with the unit client record management system
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve issues presented by external and internal customers
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth Home Support Programme would be an advantage.
