JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking experienced disability support worker to build a team to service a NDIS client in Doncaster.

You will need extensive experience with clients with complex care requirements, preferably with Quadriplegia, catheter care, peg feeding, medication support, and behavioral issues.

You must have present industry (disability) experience, hold a current industry-recognised qualification (Certificate III in Individual Support or Disability), be prepared to work a regular roster within a larger care team for the client.

Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, with 4 – 8 hour shifts during the day / evening and an 8-hour active night shift.

We have the ability to offer ongoing employment (Part-Time) for at least 3 regular days per week, if you require more, we can add additional clients to your roster, up to 38-hours per week.

We pride ourselves on consistency for clients, the support workers and are seeking those with availability to work 15 – 25 hours + per week.

We have work available Monday to Sunday.

We are seeking candidates who live within 20-30 minutes of Doncaster region or prepared to travel for 4 – 8 hour duration shifts.

Our client is a leading Home Care service provider who is specialists in-home care offering a wide range of services from cleaning, shopping & gardening, to more specialist nursing & personal care.

Every one of their clients is unique allowing their staff to provide a high-quality personalised service tailored to the needs of each person. We have services that are from an hour through to longer shifts.

We work with you to introduce you this specific client, to build up your roster, we offer ongoing training to support your transition and care with the client, and we would like to have a consistent/regular roster established within 4 weeks.

Our client's ages vary from 6yo to the elderly. We are seeking people with excellent communication skills, compassion, and passion for the delivery of care. We are looking for experienced, energetic support workers to join our busy and expanding team.

Responsibilities Include

  • Providing personal care (showering, dressing & grooming, and laundry)
  • Toileting support
  • Catheter care
  • Peg Feeding
  • Medication support
  • Using lifting and ability support equipment
  • Providing help around the house (cooking & preparing meals, household tasks such as grocery shopping, etc)
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
  • Help with transport and social support
  • Socialisation
  • Active overnights shift available
Requirements
  • Must hold a Certificate III in Individual Care, Aged Care, or Disability, Certificate IV in Disability, Diploma of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing
  • Must have a current driver license and your own vehicle
  • Clear National Police Check
  • Working with Children’s – Employee check
  • NDIS Check
