  • Balmain offices
  • $80,000 + super


The office is a converted warehouse, doors opening onto harbour wharf. There is easy street parking; and the existing team sees a casual yet professional, collegiate working environment.


This role will see you run the marketing function for a division that is designed to support leadership and professional development within the retirement sector.

Our client is the industry leader within this sector and is enjoying tremendous success. They are now seeking to further strengthen their position by investing in a marketing specialist to assist them in driving this component of their business to greater heights.


The role:

You will need to bring at least 5 years' related work experience.

You will be responsible for creating and executing initiatives that continue to build the value of their products and services. Your initiatives will support and add value to the sales pipeline and membership leads.

This will require:

  • Strategic planning and innovation
  • The development and implementation of marketing activity plans to generate an ongoing healthy pipeline of enquiries
  • Sales support items and activities
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to continuously improve membership leads
  • Results monitoring
  • Social media content planning, executing and continual management
  • State and regional forum co-ordination
  • Planning and implementing market-leading thinking and execution of micro-events such as meet & greets or business development opportunities
  • Competitor monitoring and reporting
  • Budget management
  • Campaign and brand management
  • Creative and strong sense of design
  • Content strategy and management
  • Customer feedback strategies
  • Database work and management


What does success look like?

  • Clear end-to-end thinking of all marketing activities and how messaging can play to address marketing challenges
  • Being able to achieve monthly enquiry targets by inbound channels on all projects you are accountable for
  • Identify risk early and implement tactics to mitigate this
  • Deliver clear and engaging plans with innovative and fresh ideas
  • Increase effectiveness and optimise databases to improve sales conversions
  • Communication activities that achieve set enquiry targets
  • Social media and PR activities that achieve set enquiry targets


You will have support in analysis, coordination and daily tasks. Ultimately you will be a brand ambassador when communicating with external parties. Sector experience is not essential. We are seeking the right individual that collectively will be able to add value immediately, but develop further with time in the seat.
