About the role

Thomas Street Lodge, our residential care home based at Parramatta, is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses who is passionate about person-centred care to join the team on a casual basis.

The ideal Registered Nurse will be committed and enthusiastic in ensuring quality clinical care is delivered to our residents. You will have proven, excellent clinical assessment skills to manage care of residents in collaboration with our capable team of professionals.

Shifts will vary between morning afternoon and overnight shifts including weekends. To be successful you will be available 3 shifts per week between Monday and Sunday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the residents' physical health and comfort is maintained by providing routine and non-routine clinical care;
  • Ensures that communication between peers and staff is upheld and fostered to ensure duties are performed accurately and holistically;
  • Ensures that families are fully informed about issues relating to their relative;
  • Contributes to the effective functioning of the team by sharing clinical knowledge and skills.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience needed:
  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA.
  • A 'hands on' approach to ensuring quality clinical care.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical aged care experience as Registered Nurse
  • Good interpersonal skills, with a passion for caring for others
  • A commitment to the Christian values of Anglicare.
  • A background in mental health is preferred but not essential
