Denman Multi Purpose Service

About the role:
Our close-knit, dedicated team are seeking a Registered Nurse who is able to work across a Multi Purpose Service consisting of Aged Care and Emergency, and who will feel at home within a team but also able to work confidently independently. 

Denman Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) has 11 aged care beds, six acute care beds and two emergency care beds. On site a private general medical practice is also available. Regular weekly Allied Health services provided from the MPS through the Upper Hunter Cluster Community Health based at Muswellbrook Hospital campus are speech pathology, physiotherapy, and child and family health. Other services can be provided on request, e.g. social work, occupational therapy etc.

About You:
You will be a confident, resourceful, multi-skilled and experienced Registered Nurse who is highly confident to work as the in-charge Registered Nurse on shift. You will display excellent decision making skills. This opportunity will broaden your clinical exposure whilst using all of your knowledge, skills and experience, noting that we have no Doctor on site, with Visiting Medical Officer coverage. 
To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Advanced Life Support, triage or equivalent

  • Recent ED experience

  • Previous experience in an In-Charge position

  • Ability to think critically and utilise sound decision making skills

  • Genuine commitment to making a difference to the lives of our residents and community
