The Royal Melbourne Hospital

As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

Your new team, 2 West

  • Join the RMH Nursing Leadership Team as the new ANUM of 2 West

  • 2 West is a newly established 20 bed surgical and access ward

  • Dedicated to the management of elective surgical patients and acute admissions from ED

  • Be a part of a values driven organisation of people come first, leading with kindness and excellence together

Your new role:

  • Exciting opportunity to join a new ward and make your mark

  • Help us achieve our elective waitlist targets

  • Provide patient flow out of the Emergency Department

  • Be pivotal in working with the NUM to establishing the 2 West Nursing team and Ward

  • Provide nursing leadership to ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment

  • Commit to timely and effective patient flow through the unit

  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure access and discharge planning initiatives are implemented at the ward level

About you:

  • Dedicated to the provision of high quality patient centred care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
