As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

Your new team:

Melbourne Health Bank are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our award winning NRTP team. Working in the NRTP team, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of general and specialty areas at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

This is a rewarding position that provides the opportunity to consolidate, upskill and expand your clinical skills in a collaborative and stimulating team environment.

The NRTP team works across The Royal Melbourne Hospital City and Royal Park Campus in a variety of clinical settings. Employees work on a rotating roster including night duty and weekends.

NRTP is a supportive and welcoming team. Successful candidates will be provided clinical nurse educator support as well as support from our experienced registered nurses and multidisciplinary teams.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide high quality patient care. This includes the patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams.

  • Practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team

  • Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development towards the nursing profession.

  • Commit to a rotating roster Monday – Sunday, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Your contribution

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills which allow you to positively communicate in a team environment

  • Demonstrate a high level of reliability and professional conduct within The Royal Melbourne Hospital's values; People First, Lead with Kindness, Excellence Together.

  • Recent experience in an acute hospital setting (minimum 12 months).

  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
