Facility Manager/ Director of Nursing

Opportunity to join a leading non-for-profit 50 bed nursing home in a great sea side location in South Australia. The town has well supported infrastructure, and airport and beautiful landscape to visit in all directions.

The management team is supportive, strong finance team, a Quality Nurse, You have a Clinical Nurse Specialist who helps support you with the ACFI, The administration team which handles roster, maintenance and sales . Great HR Manager! Facility is at 95% capacity . Also RNs, EENs and PCAs. No issues filling Registered Nurses .

I am looking to find a dynamic leader with a focus on culture and a strong clinical governance knowledge of aged care; a leader who understands it is the people who ensure the delivery of best health outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Facility Manager will ensure a positive culture as well as exceptional care standards are maintained. Currently they have a Acting Facility Manager who leaves end of June .

  • Strong experience in personalised care plans
  • Clinical governance - policy and procurers
  • Ensure smooth operations of this medium sized facility
  • Oversee all clinical assessments, care planning, and ACFI for residents
  • Implement & streamline progressive nursing practices
  • Mentor and lead nursing and support staff
  • Budgeting and Finance

You will be responsible for the day to day clinical operations of the facilities. You will have two strong clinical leader supporting you, allowing your main focus to be the holistic management of the facility. You will have a passion for leadership and change management.

  • You will need to be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Budgeting/ Reporting knowledge
  • Good Clinical Governance knowledge
  • Strong experience with personalised care plans
  • Management experience within the Aged Care environment essential
  • A passion for getting the best out of people.
  • You will need to have experience with ACFI and Accreditation.
  • Excellent communication skills are important as you are dealing with a large range of stakeholders.
  • Current police clearance
