Permanent Part Time: Approx. 35 - 42 hours per fortnight
5-6 shifts per fortnight from 7.00 am to 2.30pm (subject to change)

Health Information Services (HIS) at Monash Health is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Admissions/ Customer Service Officer to join our Main Reception/ Admissions team at Moorabbin Hospital, East Bentleigh.

The Team and the Role

The Admissions/ Customer Service Team at Moorabbin is responsible for providing an exceptional first impression of Monash Heath.

In this role your responsibilities will also include:
Provide customers exceptional customer service both face-to-face and over the phone
Complete and ensure accurate data entry when admitting and updating patient details on the Patient administrative system (iPM), and other data entry and administrative duties as required (as outlined on the attached PD)

Operating Hours

Moorabbin Hospital main reception is open 7 days per week. Shifts start and finish times may vary between 7am and 8pm with the potential for operating hours to be changed and extended as the service continues to grow.

Staff may also be required to travel to other Monash Health sites.

We are seeking people to join our patient-focused team who possess the following:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Be self-motivated and committed to self-improvement.
A positive approach to a frequently changing environment
Demonstrate interpersonal understanding by demonstrating empathy and sensitivity to feelings of others
Administrative experience in a Health related field will be looked upon favourably as well as the completion of a medical terminology course
Flexibility in availability, rostering and working hours is essential
Ability to work independently and embrace change in the work place
Proven customer service experience a necessity, health administration
