Monash Health NDIS Children’s Program

Monash Health National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) program supports people under the age of 65 who have permanent and significant disability, to help them in their daily life, participate in the community and reach their personal goals. This is a new program within Monash Health and currently comprises support coordination and allied health assessment and intervention services.

The Monash Health NDIS Children’s program is co-located with Monash Health Child and Family team for clinical and professional governance, with direct operational accountability for NDIS service delivery to the NDIS Program Manager. The NDIS Children’s program will operate out of a number of Monash Health Community sites including Springvale, Cranbourne and Pakenham

About the Role

The Paediatric Occupational Therapist will be required to provide an efficient, high quality and comprehensive Occupational Therapy service to children aged 0- 18 years and their families residing in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Shire of Cardinia. You will function as a member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and will work closely with team members to promote an integrated and holistic service. This position will require the Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work in an outreach model of care as well as at the community health centre or in other community venues. Experience with equipment and home modification is preferable as well as knowledge and experience of working with children with a global developmental delay and those who have a disability. Knowledge of working in Early Childhood intervention model of care.

What You Need:

  • Current Victorian driver’s license

  • Working with Children Check

  • Police Check

  • Disability worker Exclusion Scheme

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Eligibility Member of the Occupational Therapy Australian (Desirable)

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapist or Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent

  • Australian working rights
