Regis Redlynch aged care home residents enjoy a relaxed environment at the entrance to the Redlynch Valley with the beach only a 12-minute drive away. Centrally located in a quiet residential precinct of Cairns, Regis Redlynch is accessible by public transport with easy access to shops, restaurants, cafes, Redlynch Shopping Centre and Redlynch Medical Centre.

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team at our Regis Redlynch home. Previous experience in Healthcare Administration is desirable. This position will suit someone who is outgoing, friendly and who relates well to the elderly. It requires someone with an excellent phone manner and IT Skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. The role will be working Thursday and Friday each week with the option to work additional days when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assisting with visitor enquiries and conducting home tours
Ensure efficient operation of the front reception area
Assisting with staff rosters and training schedules
Stationery ordering and petty cash management
General typing and data entry
Maintain files and documentation
Answering all telephone enquiries

Skills & Experience

Bright and friendly demeanour, with a willingness to assist with all customer and resident enquiries
Experience working within a busy and constantly changing environment
Outstanding communication, telephone and customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn internal software systems
PC literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel)
Strong accuracy and data entry skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in an autonomous capacity

To be eligible to join the team at Regis we require the following:

Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure).
Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
Consistent with State and Territory public health orders and with Regis’ mandatory vaccination policy, all candidates must produce evidence that they have received the current (i.e. 2021) seasonal influenza vaccination or medical evidence to Regis’ satisfaction of an accepted clinical contraindication to receiving the influenza vaccination
