Your new team

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Genomic Medicine team. This is a Fixed Term, Part Time position, working 7.6 hours per fortnight, based at RMH City Campus.

Your new team

  • The Department of Genomic Medicine is a comprehensive genetic service providing diagnosis, counselling and support to adults with a variety of genetic disorders.

  • We provide multidisciplinary clinics for diagnosis, risk assessment and risk management, with a team of clinical geneticists, genetic counsellors, and genetic nurses, as well as committed specialists in medical and surgical disciplines appropriate to support that clinic.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • High level organisation and record keeping abilities.

  • Competent in providing adminstrative support and managing competing priorities

  • Be a team player and provide support to clinical teams

Your contribution

  • Provide support to the genetic counselling and clinical genetics team who provide genetic counselling to patients and families who are undergoing exome testing.

  • Support the Genetic Counsellors and Clinical Geneticists in all aspects of administrative, data entry and reporting requirements for the Department of Health.

  • Work under the direction of the Genetic Counsellors to provide data, administrative and case management support.

  • The position will be located primarily at the RMH city campus, but the appointee may need to attend clinics and meetings at other Alliance hospitals and research organisations.
