Full Job Description
Part-time role on a Wednesday, located in our Day Centre in Latrobe, Tasmania

About the role:
Exciting opportunities exist for an Activities Worker (baed in Latrobe, Tasmania) to join our client care teams to assist with the delivery and evaluation of activity programs and the development of innovative approaches to meeting the individual needs of clients.

With a minimum of a Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent, the ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering engaging activities and social programs along with a demonstrated ability to relate to a diverse range of people.

About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, to support them to live life to their full potential.

This is the place for you if you have:
Ability to develop and provide appropriate leisure activities for our clients
Food safety certificate and enjoy preparing and serving food
Capacity to drive a Uniting AgeWell bus/car on outings
A commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church

You will need:
A current driver’s licence and current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (or be willing to obtain one)
Full Australian working rights and a current police records check (or be willing to obtain one)
A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
