JOB DESCRIPTION

Our employer partner is a leading Home and Community Care Provider. We are seeking 2 new Community Support Workers to join our team in the Glenelg, Morphettville, Mitcham, and Edwardstown areas.

In this role, you will be working with a variety of clients in their homes. This includes clients with a disability, aging, those returning home from the hospital, etc.

A majority of our work is conducted between 7:00am to 10:00pm, from Monday to Friday. We do have some weekend work available as well.

We are seeking candidates with regular availability (same days and hours weekly). This role will begin off casual, with the opportunity to move to part-time within the first 6-months.

As a Community Support Worker, your role is to work with clients, those with a disability, returning home from the hospital, or the elderly to maintain a safe lifestyle in their own home.

  • Transportation to Events or Medical Appointments
  • Activities of Daily Living
We are seeking those with the right attitude, who want to work and prepared to learn. We offer an inclusive and supportive environment, where we can support you into the roles with clients - as required, this is discussed personally with you and the support is built-in regards to what you need to be successful in this role.

No experience required!

We are offering a minimum of 25 hours per week for all new employees with full availability, if you require fewer hours or have restricted availability, please still apply - this may reduce the hours offered.

Requirements
  • A car, SA driver license
  • Minimum 3rd party car insurance
  • Must hold an industry-specific qualification, i.e. Certificate III in Aged Care, Home Care or Disability, Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability, Aged Care / Ageing Support or Community Services
  • Have an employment DCSI - Disability (valid prior to 1 February 2021) or an NDIS Check
  • Be able to complete and have a clear National Police Check (organised by Ternary)
  • Most importantly the ability to communicate with clients and office staff and passion to work in this sector – with those who are elderly or with a disability
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Must reside within a 15-20 minute drive of the location (we keep you close to home)
  • Have clear communication skills
  • Be compassionate, caring, and able to work independently and as a team.

You do not need to be prepared to travel to all locations across Adelaide, but below are the main areas that work is available.

Depending on your skills, hours available, and wanting to work, to where you may collect work from. We will make it worth your while when sending you outside your home region.
