JOB DESCRIPTION

Working with this busy Disability Services Provider in this newly created position you will be responsible for infrastructure development and contribute to the overall strategic asset planning and life cycle management. Covering a large and expanding East Coast property portfolio, you will be responsible for managing environmentally sustainable construction and building infrastructure management to enhance customer and staff experience to meet their ongoing support needs.

As a qualified and experienced construction Project Manager with some exposure to asset life-cycle,
you will:

  • Develop and implement project briefs, feasibility reports etc for capital works and related projects
  • Deliver sustainable initiatives in conjunction with infrastructure, building management, project planning and delivery using ESD principles
  • Manage the programming, planning, design and delivery of new construction, renovation, and refurbishment projects $50-$400k
  • Prepare scope of works, estimates and cost plans for project feasibility and business cases
  • Monitor backlog maintenance liability against risk and cost
  • Assist with the procurement and performance monitoring of utility supply and sustainable initiatives associated with feed in infrastructure
  • Contribute to the strategic direction across property and asset risk management, safety, statutory compliance, and essential services
  • Establish life cycle asset replacement program & draft 5-year capital works program

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in building/property management or similar with a minimum of 10 years’ experience managing and delivering construction and refurbishment programs and projects
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory framework relevant to property and asset management
  • Demonstrated capability to design, cost, and supervise contracts, inspections and operating a maintenance management system for a large property portfolio.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in procurement, project management and contract management
  • Experience in facilities management across a diverse range of building uses including disability services and aged care facilities
  • Working knowledge of sustainable initiatives for building design and infrastructure
  • Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, and stakeholder skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, primarily Excel and Outlook.
