Your new team

  • We are team working together that has strong history in Reducing Restrictive and Recovery focussed Interventions for consumers with severe mental illness

  • We enjoy a collaborative working environment within your team at Broadmeadows and support from RMH and NWMH

  • You will help us achieve our shared goals and assist and mentor undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates in their endeavours within Acute Care

  • In return, you will be supported to achieve your goals and the teams goals in developing an acute care workforce

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Provide clinical and educational strategic and operational leadership of the Inpatient service to ensure evidence based best practice and contemporary models of care within an adult acute care mental health setting

  • Facilitate Bed Flow Management working closely with ANUM's and Discharge Coordinator

  • Assist and manage the development of confidence, knowledge, skills, experience and clinical best practice

  • Enhance confidence and monitoring systems to ensure a dynamic workplace striving for Excellence and Safety First culture

  • Build a culture of support and growth via Clinical Supervision, reflective practice, Safety Culture and education from a Recovery and Collaborative Focus

  • Create and support an organisational commitment to workforce development

Your Contribution

  • You are a devoted and experienced nurse leader who has worked in mental health in an acute care environment

  • You are a passionate clinical leader driven by best practice and has strong organisational and leadership skills

  • You are a committed nurse leader that has an experience in nursing professional development in a variety of training and educational duties

  • You have qualities in Organisational abilities, relationship building, research participation and mentoring of junior and new members of staff.
