Our client is seeking Senior Quality Assessors for an initial 12 month contract!

About the Role:

Amazing opportunities are now available to be part of a national initiative that will see you take responsibility for the assessing and monitoring of individual aged care providers (residential, home care and flexible care) against the Aged Care Quality Standards.

We are looking for professional field officers, with exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement to liaise with a wide variety of individuals in the community.

Successful candidates will be provided with a training program that is internationally accredited by the International Society for Quality in Healthcare, (ISQua) leading to registration as a Quality Assessor is an essential requirement for the positions.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Site visits to undertake accreditation audits and performance assessments for residential aged care services, home care services and flexi-care services either as part of a team or individually.
  • Engaging with aged care service providers to collect information/evidence, including conducting interviews with service staff and management, to support regulatory functions.
  • Conducting interviews with consumers and/or their representatives about the quality of care and services provided by an aged care service either in person or by phone
  • Collecting and analysing evidence to record audit & assessment findings in written reports, using Agency IT applications.
Successful candidates will:
  • Understand and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks in particular Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act and Rules 2018 and the Aged Care Quality Standards, or be able to demonstrate a capacity to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • Critically analyse information and communicate key points clearly and succinctly
  • Understand and identify risk and potential harms in an aged care service and then escalate findings
  • Work effectively as a team member and/or team leader to accomplish organisational goals, this may include mentoring other staff.
Travel Expectations:

Extensive travel within each state is an inherent requirement of the role. Travel requirements involve overnight travel on a weekly and /or fortnightly basis.
Travel expenses are covered under the Agency’s travel policy. A current driver’s licence is essential to support the travel expectations of the role/s.
Travel & food allowances are provided, and you will also be provided with a laptop and mobile phone.

To be successful in this role you must have:
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply knowledge of relevant standards and legislation
  • A current driver’s licence
  • National Criminal Record Check
  • Australian citizenship
  • Dedicated regulatory, quality, audit or compliance background
Whilst a clinical background is useful, the ability to analyse, develop and engage with key stakeholders is absolutely essential.
