Waranga Health, located in Rushworth, is a 36-bed aged-care facility, inclusive of a four-bed acute care unit, a district nursing service, outpatient ambulatory consulting services and a dedicated palliative care suite and respite bed. Care and treatment are provided 24 hours a day by a talented multidisciplinary team across a range of medical, nursing and allied health services.

About the role

The Patient Service Assitant role encorporates both the ktichen and cleaning areas. Both roles are 7 days a week and are there are four and eight hours shifts. You would be responsible for food safety and hygeine, delivery of meals to the Aged Care residents and Acute Patients. You would be required to clean to to the Standards required. Training is provided and you must remain 100% compliant in this area.

Selection Criteria
Essential : Commitment to the GV Health Values of Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork and Ethical Behaviour and ability to exhibit behaviour which reflects our values.
Essential : Must be available for all shifts, 8hr and 4hr shifts, weekdays and weekends.
Essential : Must hold Food Handlers & Hygiene Certificate prior to commencement
Essential : Have an understanding of Environmental Cleaning in the Aged Care and Acute settings.
Essential : Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
