Position Location: Glen Waverley / Oakleigh / Clayton

The Active Monash Leisure Centres are highly regarded throughout the Aquatic and Recreation Industry, attracting over 1.5 million attendances per annum. Active Monash fosters a culture of professionalism, innovation and positive engagement.

About the Role:
The Attendant Support Worker provides assistance directly to Attendant Support Initiative (ASI) Program service users including personal care tasks and mobility/transfers when entering/exiting centre and its facilities.

Assists in ensuring all staff are well versed in the ASI program responsibilities

Ensures service delivery and safety of the Centres program is of the highest quality

Key Responsibility Areas:
Assist in providing practical attendant support to ASI service users in accordance with individual’s ASI service user profiles

To provide assistance with personal care tasks including showering, grooming and dressing

To provide assistance with mobility/transfers when entering/exiting the Centre and its facilities in accordance with the individual’s ASI service user profile

To provide assistance and support to individuals when participating in leisure activities for the entire duration of their booking

Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to at all times to ensure a high level of service delivery

Maintain the professional image of MARC and its programs, creating a safe, informative, friendly, and customer-focused environment

Support all programs when required, providing attendant support assistance across the entire Centre

To participate in training and development activities as required

The successful candidate will have:
Current CPR

Working With Children’s Check (Employee)

Safeguarding Children Certificate

Desirable - Certificate III - (Community Care services, Disability, Aged Care or other related fields) or currently studying in related fields.
