As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.

Your New Team

The Northern Area Mental Health Service Provides a comprehensive range of specialist mental health services to people who reside in the local government areas of Darebin and Whittlesea. Within Hotham Street there are a number of functions including the Enhanced Intervention Function (EIF) which provides intensive and evidence based care to consumers and their families. If you are seeking a rewarding opportunity working with consumers using discipline specific based interventions, then this is the role you are looking for.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to:
Provide evidenced based discipline specific assessments and interventions including linking to meaningful and purposeful activities in the person’s own community.

Work in a team environment that encourages individual, evidence based approaches to mental health care.

Work with individuals and their families during some of the most stressful periods of their lives to make a difference, then this job is for you.

Your Contribution

Extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of people experiencing complex and enduring mental illness

Skills in the provision of recovery focused interventions, psycho-social recovery oriented rehabilitation to people with significant and psychiatric disorders and disabilities and complex needs

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
