The Company

Our client is a group of corporate accommodation services and aged care facilities in the North Coast of NSW looking for an experienced leader to drive growth in the Food Service part of the business.

The Role

  • Work closely with all internal stakeholders to implement strategic objectives for the Food Services operations
  • Adapt to the changing catering needs on site to deliver on commercial growth
  • Develop and monitor costing for menu budgets, kitchen and dining room stocks and labour costs
  • Ensure site compliance with all applicable industry regulation and legislations
  • Manage all supplier relationships and monitor all supplier agreements to ensure they are in line with internal policies
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve all Food Safety Systems
  • Ensure that operational systems are aligned to the Accreditation Standards
  • Responsible for staffing, recruitment and induction for all new staff
  • Manage work health and safety risks and critical control processes
  • Be a part of implementing and executing growth strategies within the group
  • Develop the annual budget in consultation with the General Manager and Chief Financial Officer

About You

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar scale of operation
  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery essential
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate essential
  • Experience in either hotels, convention centres or aged care facilities
  • Experience in managing a team of kitchen staff
  • Experience in planning menus, food and labour costs
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
  • Qualification in business management desirable
  • Current National Criminal History Record Clearance
  • Valid Driver’s License

Work rights and remuneration

  • Must have full work rights in Australia
  • Full-time or contract opportunity
  • $100,000 to $130,000 package depending on experience
