Position Summary

Employee Relations Project Lead

6-month Fixed Term, Full Time Position
Based in Osborne Park, Perth
Flexible working from home and office

The opportunity

We are looking for an ER professional to join our team here and get stuck into reviewing, analysing and evaluating the Silver Chain polices. If successful you will be responsible for project managing the review, update and development of a suite of HR/ER related policies and procedures, including providing recommendations and solutions to identified issues.

It is an exciting time for Silver Chain and this position plays a vital role supporting the department to achieve its objectives contributing to the organisations national strategic plan.

Key responsibilities

Develop detailed project strategies and action plans
Investigate, analyse and evaluate current policies and procedures
Apply a risk-based approach to policy development and implementation
Understands the legal and legislative frameworks impacting policies.
Prepares progress reports, submissions and other written material relating to policy issues
Liaises effectively with stakeholders and business partners to ensure buy in and success of the project.
Provides advice as a subject matter expert in policy approaches and provides solutions for obstacles both actual and perceived.
Develops and recommends realistic solutions for arising issues given the complexity of the organisation and service delivery.

About you

Proven ability to contribute to effective strategies, solutions and interventions to resolve a full range of human resource issues and strong demonstrated generalist experience in the provision of support and advice in people management and workplace relations matters.
Well-developed communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and influencing skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of others.
Demonstrated experience in leading and participating in project groups to support policy development initiatives.
Solid decision making, knowing the risks involved
The ability to effectively prioritise multiple competing demands.
Demonstrated analytical and conceptual; skills to identify risk and make recommendations
Demonstrated computer literacy

Under the Aged Care act 1997, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.
