The Administration Assistant is a vital role, providing administrative support to the site’s Service Manager as well as our Clinical Team, Care Staff and Residents.

We have a part time vacancy for an experienced Administration Assistant at our residential care facility, Edward Collick Home, Kalgoorlie.

The working hours for the position are as follows;

Week 1 & Week 2

Monday - Friday 1230 - 1645

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring staff and resident documentation is accurate and records are maintained.
Answer resident and visitor questions in a positive and welcoming manner.
Assisting with admission and discharge of residents and clients.
Maintaining petty cash and stationery.
Placing stock orders.
Assisting with shift replacement and organising orientations.
Issuing staff meeting memos and taking of meeting minutes.
Collection and distribution of internal and external mail.
Providing reception, telephone and visitor support.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Previous administration experience in a busy/ dynamic environment.
Experience in Aged Care or a hospital setting would be desirable.
Proven organisational and time management skills.
Accurate typing skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
An understanding of accounting and book keeping principles.
Experience in minute taking and report writing.
Valid Police Clearance less than 6 months old (or provide a receipt at interview stage)
