About The Role

The Group Manager Innovation and Experience is embedded in the St Vincent’s Health Australia Group Division. Reporting to the Group Chief Medical Officer / Group General Manager Clinical Governance, the Group Manager of Innovation and Experience is a senior management position which has oversight, at the group level, for the group portfolios of Innovation and Experience, specifically Clinical Innovation and Improvement, and Patient Experience, and will lead the following two programs:

  • Accelerating Innovation – Pursuing an agile innovative culture that embraces effective change to achieve our strategic goals
  • St Vincent’s Experience – Amplifying the voice of our patients, residents and families, and empowering staff to deliver and improve the experience we offer will result in world-leading Net Promoter Scores (NPS)
About You

You will have a demonstrated management experience at senior level in a large complex organisation in leading an innovation and/or customer/patient experience program. This will include experience in developing and implementing internal strategies and measuring their effectiveness.

To be successful in this role our will have strong stakeholder management experience, including capacity to engage and influence at a number of levels including advising senior executives.

You will also bring the following experience to the role:
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare
  • Experience in the provision of internal consulting services at both strategic and operational level
  • Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organisation
  • High level presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write high quality reports and correspondence
  • Relevant qualifications in health (e.g nursing), innovation or customer relations
Whilst experience within the health industry is desirable, it is not essential. This position would suit professionals with a background in comparable innovation and customer experience programs from within other industries.
