Your new team

An exciting opportunity exists at The Royal Melbourne Hospital for an innovative and enthusiastic individual to join our Surgery, Perioperative, Trauma and Surgical Oncology Services team in the role of Scrub / Scout fixed term full time in a . Busy Melbourne Health theatres provide a high quality 24/7 service in our 14 operating rooms.

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Demonstrate ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team

  • Demonstrate provision of high quality patient care

  • Showcase developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills

  • Actively participate in the Unit quality program, which ensures continuous monitoring and evaluation of quality care and client outcomes

  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Provide support to the Clinical Business Manager, Perioperative Services Manager and overall leadership Team in maximising efficiency and effectiveness of the Perioperative Services as a whole

Your Contribution

  • Recent experience in an acute hospital setting (minimum 3 years)

  • Commitment to providing high quality patient care whilst working as effective member of a busy team

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation policies and human resource procedures

  • Well developed computer and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High level of reliability and professional conduct

  • Ability to mentor and support to staff as required

  • High motivation and willingness to learn

  • Completion of the postgraduate certificate would be highly regarded
