Wellbeing SA’s My Home Hospital program bought to you by Calvary and Medibank in an exciting new joint venture to deliver and grow one of Australians largest hospital from home programs. Through the support of the South Australian Government, Wellbeing SA’s My Home Hospital’s vision is to provide better healthcare outcomes for all our patients in a way that best suits their needs. With the help of a dedicated and highly skilled team, we aim to deliver a higher proportion of acute hospital care in the comfort of patient’s homes providing them greater comfort, experience and choice.

The Opportunity

As an ASO Intake Officer joining My Home Hospital, you will work closely with the case managers, service providers, clients and families to ensure that all client care and service requirements/issues are acted on. This role will be a mixture of administrative and telephone support.

You will impact by

Act as the first point of customer contact and response for new and existing clients and families, referrer enquiries, general phone enquiries and service enquiries.
Receive, document and escalate concerns raised by clients, referrers, providers or other stakeholders for timely follow up action.
Ensure referrer, client and provider database is up- to date with client
Deal promptly with queries
Process referrals provided by Local Health Networks (LHN’s), Hospitals, General Practitioners (GP), Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF) and update relevant systems and provide responses within expected timeframes/KPI’s.
Other administrative duties relating to client service delivery or VCC activity as requested.
Assisting with reporting as required

About You

You will have previous administration and customer service experience preferably within a health care environment. From this, you will have gained strong Microsoft word skills, good attention to detail and be highly organised. We are searching for someone who is a team player and has an adaptable and flexible approach to their work. You thrive in being proactive and using your initiative to seek solutions. A natural communicator, you have excellent stakeholder management skills and build relationships with ease. Previous experience in Intake or Customer Service roles within health would be highly desirable

Please note this is a casual role. The role will be based on a fortnightly 7 day rostered system in which afternoon and evening work will be required.
