Projects Coordinator required to join our strong Melbourne based team!

Building Services Projects Coordinator

We have an exciting position for a Projects Coordinator to join our successful Melbourne Building Services team. Reporting to the Building Services Manager, no day is the same, as our clients and projects are varied from commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, aged care homes, shopping centres and more. There is no job too big or too small for the Higgins Building Services team.

An exciting opportunity for a project coordinator to join growing commercial building services team in Victoria. The role manages a range of projects and trades;
· Carpet, gutter, door replacements
· Reactive maintenance
· Soft refreshments
· Roof replacements
· Landscaping
· Playgrounds
· Full hotel refurbishments
· The list goes on

Key responsibilities include:

  • Schedule day to day activities including resource allocation, material deployment, organisation of plant and equipment
  • Coordinate field staff and other resources
  • Assist with the preparation of estimates and quotations
  • Monitor and report on project budgets
  • Provide technical assistance to field teams, assisting in the identification and escalation of issues, identifying appropriate corrections actions
  • Ensure project documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure project performance is monitored, tracked and reported
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with OH&S requirements

About You

To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Customer focused
  • Exposure to project management
  • Trades services background
  • Willingness to work on the tools when required
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding OH&S requirements
  • Experience in Microsoft Office essential
