ABOUT THE ROLE:

Summary of the role:

The Respiratory Protection Fit Tester is part of the Work Health and Safety Team who provide essential health and safety oversight to health services and aged care. The role will work closely with Health Services.

• This is flexible part time or full time 12 month position.

• The role will be located within Mercy Health Services at our Werribee Mercy Hospital. Travel to other locations may be required

• The role will be responsible for implementing an effective respiratory protection program, with an emphasis on preventing the transmission of aerosol transmissible diseases (ATDs) to healthcare personnel

• The role will be key in ensuring there are systems for respiratory protection and for respiratory protective equipment (RPE)

• The role will coordinate and conduct fit testing and fit checking processes for staff, and providing education and training us use, storage and disposal

ABOUT YOU:

  • You will have a health, nursing or associated qualification with knowledge of infection control proceeses.
  • You will have excellent time management skills
  • You will have a high standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • You will have a high standard of computer skills incuding microsoft word and excel
