ABOUT THE ROLE:

Summary of the role: Take an adventure to live and work in the country in Young NSW. A permanent full-time level 1-2 physiotherapy position and 9 month full-time contract positon are available for motivated physiotherapists. If you are excited by the challenge of providing essential public healthcare services to a rural community, while experiencing a living in a rural community, cheaper cost of living, beautiful fresh air and meeting great new people.

  • Mercy Care Centre Young NSW - a subacute publicly funded hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Full time position 80 hrs a fortnight with monthly ADO and fulltime 9 month contract position.
  • Subsidised hospital accommodation available and relocation subsidy may apply. New graduates welcome to apply.
  • Our Physio department runs a musculoskeltal oupatient clinic, services our 26 bed subacute ward, provides acute ward cover at Young District hospital, outreach services to smaller communites, cardiac and pumonary rehab programs and Trasitioan Aged Care program. The physio team is 5 clinicians including a senior Physio.
  • Opportunity exists to rotate across caseloads and work in a wide variety of areas, broadening your skills. There is opportunity to specialise in areas of your interest including womens health, paediatrics, plastering, rehabiliation and musculoskeletal caseloads.
  • Large multidisciplinary Allied Health team of 25 staff - a fun group that enjoy discovering the area, joining local sporting teams and social events. Supervision and professional development supported.

ABOUT YOU

  • You will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Physiotherapist and current drivers license

  • You will be a positive and proactive team member who is keen to learn.
  • You will be an adaptable problem solver focussed on delivering patient centred and evidence based care.

Mercy Care Centre Young is a 26-bed subacute health service facility providing a range of outpatient, community health and aged care services for the people of Young and surrounding region. It specialises in geriatric evaluation and management; rehabilitation and palliative care.
