About the role

The Senior MRI Radiographer:

  • Is responsible for the training and supervision of Radiation Therapists and MRS students whilst using the Radiation Oncology MRI (primarily used as a radiation therapy simulator); all aspects of safety for all staff and patients whilst in the Radiation Oncology MRI work area;
  • Will support the operation, clinical use, and research and development projects associated with the Radiation Oncology MRI at the CMN;
  • Will provide accurate and timely imaging services as requested, whilst providing staff with expert advice

What you bring

  • Qualified to practise Diagnostic Radiography, ASMIRT level 1 accreditation in MRI, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and licensed by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) to use ionising radiation apparatus.
  • Recent extensive experience working in a dedicated Radiation Oncology MRI Simulator with a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of radiation therapy planning including the role of MRI.
  • Up-to-date, extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of MRI technology, including a demonstrated commitment to Radiation Oncology MRI clinical research, ongoing education and professional development.
